Getting from the airport.
There are a few ways to get to Petaluma from any of the airports above. When planning transportation, keep in mind if you want a car to get around the area for any activities.
Rental Car
If you want to explore Sonoma County, renting a car gives you the flexibility to do that. You can even stop at a few places on the way from SFO.
Groome Bus
An eco- and budget-friendly option. You can reserve your seat online ahead of time, but a reservation is not neccessary.
Uber or Lyft
The easiest option if you don't want a car for the weekend to explore outside of downtown Petaluma. You can schedule your ride up to 90 days in advance by using the Uber or Lyft app.
Driving in.
If you're renting a car or driving in from wherever you live, here's a few helpful things to know for the weekend.
Parking
There is street parking available at Hotel Petaluma and a small parking lot at Hampton Inn Petaluma. Parking is downtown Petaluma is relatively easy.
Getting around
If you don't have a car, you can always Uber or Lyft. There is also a free bus called Luma Go. You can also rent a bike from a nearby shop.
Attractions on the way
If you're driving in from SFO, you can stop at Muir Woods National Park, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, downtown San Francisco, and Golden Gate Park.

Soak up Petaluma’s history in this converted 1890s silk mill—now a bright, stylish hotel just a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk to downtown. We have a limited number of rooms reserved on a hotel block, so we recommend booking early.

Airbnb or Vrbo
Get that home-away-from-home vibe with a private living space in a charming Petaluma cottage or cozy home. For transportation to the wedding, you will need to meet the bus at one of the two hotels.
